A ship from England arrives on the North East Coast of America in 1590 expecting to see a thriving colony, but instead the crew find the settlement abandoned. Strangely though, there are no signs of a struggle, but one clue stands out - the word 'croatoan' is carved into a wooden post. What does this mean and where has the small community gone? They cannot just disappear. Join us in this episode as we analyse the latest archaeological evidence that may have solved this mystery once and for all.
